Series 56 ratchet blocks combine all the features of ball bearing blocks with a highly efficient ratchet mechanism. The holding power of the ratchet sheave reduces the effort required to hold onto the sheet or control line. In light conditions the control knob can be switched to the off position to exclude the ratchet mechanism.
Ratchet blocks are used for mainsheets, spinnaker sheets and jib leads on catamarans and dinghies. The 12:1 holding power permits better control and easier line handling.
