Section Selection Your
choice of spar section is critical to performance. Material,
size, wall thickness, weight and shape affect both static
bending characteristics and dynamic characteristics ("gust
response").
Proctor design their sections to take class rules to the
limit: - for example the Olympus boom section was designed
to be simply the stiffest 470 boom possible within class
rules.
Whatever your class, the extensive Proctor section range
ensures that there is a mast and boom available with optimum
performance. For recommendations for your particular class,
